The hotel was beautiful and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Japanese breakfast and dinner which offered a wide variety of dishes with amazing flavors. The public outdoor onsen was relaxing and had a fine view I felt like I was on top of the world.

It wasn't cheap but worth it for the experience we had.

The coffee provided in the lounge was a nice touch, even though it was self-served. it added a casual, welcoming feel to the space.

The views from the room were obscured by wooden panels, which significantly detracted from the experience.

hatago kintoen has helpful staff who genuinely care about your experience. it's located right in front of a cemetery, which might make some guests uncomfortable. i enjoyed the interesting dining options offered during my stay, and the serene atmosphere created by the tatami flooring was quite lovely.

The Japanese-style room was cozy and spacious, perfect for a relaxing stay. I loved the view of the nearby forest and mountains, and sipping green tea while soaking it in. The room felt traditional, but it was comfortable enough for a restful night. Just keep in mind, the somewhat bare walls might not vibe with everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the spacious family room and the beautiful onsen bath we had access to. My kids loved the traditional Kaiseki meals provided, which truly highlighted local flavors. The view from the dining area was simply breathtaking.
